20 Reasons Why I Love London
20 Reasons Why I Love London
I recently made a list on why I hate living and working in London. After a few days I started regret writing it because the reality is I Love London or if you want to say LuvLondon! So here goes my 20 reasons on why I LuvLondon.
- I love the fit girls in London, come on there’s lots of them everywhere. A few at my work place too!
- London is the capital of the world, if you didn’t know!
- I live in the financial capital of the world.
- The Queen lives in London. I love the royalty and it’s history it brings along. However I don’t like Her Majesties tax man!
- I view 100’s of famous historical sites before leaving and coming into work. Although it’s getting quite dull, I like the thought.
- The River Thames, the infamous historical river in England sits in London. The Krays used to cement peoples feet and throw them in, now don’t you get any ideas son!
- Good old english pubs, you can never go wrong with a pint down my local!
- I saw Ronnie Barker the other day, he walked right past me. Lot’s of famous people walking around but some are in disguise, you got be able to spot them in 2 seconds of looking at them or you won’t know. Woah, slow down there goes Becks!
- Good old curry down Brick Lane hit’s the spot everytime!
- Oh not forgetting the Ridley Bagel which is open 24 hours apparently!
- I love catching the bus and hopping on the back whilst it’s about to move off. NOTE: if you think your not going to make it, dont run. Because it’s very embarssing when you run after a bus on a busy bus stop and it leaves you behind. People look at you as if you’ve failed!
- London has dancing tramps and around 8ish the dancing changes into passed out on the side kerb whilst telling everyone who walks by “watch my trolley for me”
- I love walking and walking around in London is never boring, so much to see so little time.
- During winter there’s a guy on Oxford Street who sells hot caramel peanuts. They simply are the works. mmmmm muchines!
- I saw Nick Ferrari from LBC the other day too, jesus I didn’t know he’s fat. Damn, I had a completely different picture in my head of him. Radio huh! His Mercedes made up for it I guess.
- I once got broken down once on the Marleybone Flyover which is quite dangerous. To my surprise I saw Chris Eubank the boxer with his 10 foot truck pull up. He said his baby wasn’t made for holding cars and he didn’t want me to think that he being unhelpful. What a nice guy!
- My bonus is good
- Although I genuinley hate the London Underground during summer, I do like the freebies you get in the morning at major stations like Paddignton, Liverpool St etc.
- The nearest beach to London is Southend, although if your a tourist it’s not something I would visit. For me it’s a bit of a holiday visiting Southend now and then. Those 2p machines are like crack, bloody addictive.
- Finally 20, I feel comfortable in London. It’s my home and there’s always something exciting happening here! Next up the 2012!
Me and London are like 2 old couples, we hate each other but love each other even more. I LuvLondon! Woooohooo. Oh and don’t forget to leave your reason on why you Love London too.
UPDATE:
Thanks to Inspector Plod for correcting me, it wasn’t Ronnie Barker but it was the short one Ronnie Corbett. Ronnie Barker past away in 2005. Also the Routemaster was discontinued in 2005. Thanks Inspector!
No.8 Ronnie Barker is DEAD. died 3 October 2005.
No.11 Open back buses were called Routemasters, and were withdrawn from service 2003-2005.
You sure you live here? or did you just read it all in a book?
Thanks for correcting me Inspector.
I do live in London and didn’t read it all in a book. Slight confusion between the 2 ronnies and it’s been quite sometimes since I caught a routemaster!
