Job Vacancies

Finding Job Vacancies

80% of job vacancies can now be found online. With the racial discrimination law upon us, employers and recruiters have been forced to choose the world wide web as an advertising source. The method of newspaper job adverts are very old and many recruiters/employers have stopped using them. So your first point of action should be to search online for job vacancies. Use various different websites, from popular ones like Monster.com to niche skill specific ones like CWJobs.co.uk. Finding a job vacancy is easy, getting it is the difficult part. The foundation of your career starts with a good, solid CV. That’s means have a professional written CV which is tailored for the job your going to apply for. This method increases your chances by 60%.

You shouldn’t apply for 20 at one time, unless you fit their requirements exactly and it’s your lucky day. Try and be selective when finding jobs online, I always tell my students to choose 3 jobs out of 10 that you like and then re-write your CV so it matches their requirements. This way you have more of a chance on finding job vacancies. Try narrowing down your role if possible. If you consider yourself a specialist in a particular field, then why not empathize your speciality. In London there is a high demand for skilled workers and even more demand for specialists, the world is moving towards specialists. Be resourceful when searching for job vacancies.
