Don’t Let People Put You Off

People have a huge influence on each other, just take a celebrity for example, only human but a big impact. What I’ve noticed is that many people have written “self motivated” on their CV and when you get to know them for a few minutes you realize there’s nothing self motivating about them, they don’t really have it in them. Saying that I bet I’ve put you off a little! That’s exactly what I’m talking about today, people putting each other off.

People have a huge impact on each others feelings and when you can’t find a job the smallest things can make you frustrated. I remember when one of my best friends were looking for job vacancies for 6 months and he simply could not find one. After lot’s of attempts he came to the conclusion that he was going to start his own business. Now 4 years on his business turns around £1.3 million and he’s the success of it. He told me one thing which I remember to this day, he said “when you feel like your not going no where in life, no job, no money, don’t ever let people put you off”. The lesson is that you should never let people take advantage of your weaknesses, in fact you should be smarter and next time someone throws some negative words at you, think nothing of it. Even when you go for an interview, the interviewee always tends to comes across as a higher status and in some cases picks on weak spots, always try and be smarter not arrogant, this helps.

When people put you off finding a job, it can make life more daunting and stressful. Don’t make your job hunt a task, think of it as a challenge, let people like you for who you are. Be yourself and focus on where you want to be, what people say are just their views and opinions, it means nothing. What I like to do is listen to everyone and do my own, it’s very important to be brave in this society. You need to be confident, not over-confident.
