Best Job Sites
As we all know that there are thousands of job sites available to choose from and it can become all too confusing. I’m about to list the best job sites for finding jobs. I haven’t put them in any order, from my experience they are the best job sites to use. There is no need to sign up 100s irrelevant job sites. So here they are:
TotalJobs have been around for quite sometime now and I love the Job Basket function, so easy to use. The TotalJobs Group run a string of job sites including, CWJobs.co.uk, Caterer.com and many others. TotalJobs.com covers all sectors and industries and has many high profile companies advertising there, it’s definitely a professional resource.

Functionality: 7/10
Number of Jobs: 84,880 (28th April 2009)
Reed.co.uk is also an oldie and used to be famous for it’s “FREE Job Ads” but now charges. Even though Reed.co.uk charges £125 per job listing, they one of the biggest job sites in the UK. The website had a whole change to it and now it looks more web 2.0 and is jampacked with lots of tools for the job seeker.
Userability: 7/10
Functionality: 8/10
Number of Jobs: 95,107 (28th April 2009)
Again JobServe sits at the top with the oldies, launched back in 1993 JobServe has grown rapidly and now has earned its position amongst fellow job sites. It’s used heavily for IT jobs and there is a huge list of recruiters too.

Monster is the worlds largest job site. Orginated in America, Monster is quite famous for it’s TV ads because they have a huge marketing budget. Behind the brand is also a solid career website with many resources for job seekers.
Userability: 7/10
Functionality: 9/10

Not many people had heard about JobSite.co.uk until they done a few TV ads on channel FIVE. Like TotalJobs Group, JobSite also owns many other niche job sites like OfficeRecuit, CityCareers, LondonJobs and lot’s more. I believe they all feed the big one which is JobSite.co.uk.
Userability: 6.5/10

So there you have it, the best job sites.
As an IT contractor I use these websites all the time and would say that Jobserve is way above the rest for content, functionality and usability. I would give them 9/10.
